Welcome to Word of Life Ministries

A ministry with a commission to reach the world through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our desire is to see every soul that  joins our fellowship,  from young to old, walking as effective ambassadors of  Jesus Christ. We believe this can be accomplished through the leading of the Holy Spirit and true biblical discipleship— ministering to the entire family. Through this ministry we seek to help facilitate your spiritual journey, WITH GOD'S WORD, as you approach each transition in LIFE. Building a firm foundation as we grow from spiritual infancy to spiritual maturity...  thereby responding to life's challenges with eternal wisdom versus temporal wisdom!!

about us

Word of Life Ministries was established to preach the uncompromised Word of God... and by it; heal the brokenhearted, preach deliverance to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, and to set free those who are held captive!

Pastor Kevin Cox, Sr.

Pastor Kelvin Cox, Sr. was born in Longview, TX. He received educational instruction while majoring in Biology at Prairie View A&M University and obtaining his Bachelors of Science in Biblical Counseling at the College of Biblical Studies.  He is married to his lovely wife, of 23 years. He and Charlett have 5 children, which keeps them both on their knees! His calling to pastor came in 1996. In 2000 he became a licensed minister and joined the staff of Bible Way Fellowship Baptist Church.

Since, his life has made a huge transition. God has placed a tremendous call on Kelvin's life to bring His word back to the forefront of people's mind. Scripture warns us that the “… time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;  but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.”
Pastor  Cox realizes that equipping God’s people to this magnitude will only be  accomplished when one people (the church) aligns itself with one God.  Then, and  only then, will the strongholds of this generation be broken and our society be regenerated into a people that are Kingdom-minded and fully devoted followers of  Christ.

first lady cox

As First Lady and Women's Ministry Leader, I want to create an environment that is safe for women to unburden themselves, find biblical solutions to apply to their situations, and grow from spiritual infancy to spiritual maturity.

Our overall mission is to prepare, challenge, and inspire women and men to a life of Christian discipleship. It is our desire and mission that every adult become a full and fulfilled disciple of Jesus Christ, and that each person will have a passion for Christian service, whether it is across the street or around the globe. Myself as well as the ministry leaders and staff of WOLM are committed to serving those we worship with as well as our community. We welcome you to join us as we make a huge impact with our ministry.

Men's Ministry

Men's Ministries challenges men to discover their spiritual gifts, evangelize their community, disciple and encourage one another in the faith, and develop strong parenting and relational skills.

We seek to use the unadulterated Word of God in order to address every issue concerning women. “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness” 2 Timothy 3:16 We seek to provide a safe haven for women to share openly concerning their personal journey and the struggles that bind them.

young adults

The Young Adult Ministry seeks to provide spiritual nourishment, inspiration and guidance to adults ages 18 to 35. The ministry, which includes those that are single, married, widowed, divorced and with or without children, encourages proper spiritual and moral principles to empower Christians to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.

The Children’s Ministry goal is to equip and prayerfully support each child ages 2-12 so that they might realize Christ’s perfect plan for their life, and take an active part in sharing their faith with others, as we follow the instructions of our Lord to His disciples, to “go to all nations and make disciples.”
